Demonstrations in Yangon
Anti-coup strike in Yangon's HlaingTharYar Township and showed solidarity to political prisoners detained by Myanmar's military junta.
Today's protest in Yangon's Tamwe Township was violently cracked down by the Military Council, some in civilian clothes. At least 6 youths were arrested. Some were beaten and kicked on the streets and one protestor was shot. Some were still trapped. It is not yet known who was arrested.
